Aunque la paternidad de la radio ha sido disputada por varias personas y muchas consideran a Marconi como el inventor de la radio, el Tribunal Supremo de los Estados Unidos en la d\u00e9cada de los 40&#8217;s dictaminaron que la patente relativa a la radio era leg\u00edtimamente propiedad de Nikola Tesla, el cual hab\u00eda inventado un dispositivo similar al menos 15 a\u00f1os antes que Marconi. En 1909 Marconi obtuvo el premio Nobel de F\u00efsica junto con Karl Ferninand Braun, <em>&#8220;por sus contribuciones al desarrollo de la comunicaci\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbrica&#8221;<\/em>.
